According to the reporter’s local time on the 30th, a roller coaster at the amusement facility “Yomiuri Amusement Park” in Inari City, Tokyo, Japan, came to an emergency stop while driving that afternoon, and 25 tourists on the roller coaster were temporarily trapped in mid air.
It is understood that the roller coaster is in the climbing phase when it comes to emergency stop, and the maximum vertical distance between the stop position and the ground is about 50 meters.
Trapped tourists are guided by staff to return to the ground along the steps next to the roller coaster track. One person suffered minor hand injuries on the way back.
The reason for the emergency stop of the roller coaster is still under investigation.
